We Are On the Move!

There are rumors abound that our main offices located on Dorchester Road in North Charleston will be closing requiring us to find a new home.  We believe that nothing positive comes out of the rumor mill so please let us tell you what we know now.

The property where old North Charleston Station 5 sits has been sold requiring our Team and the SC Fire Academy’s Region 5 office to move.

We are currently hoping to move to another place in North Charleston in order to stay together.  Our relationship has been a good one for nearly eight years and it has proven to be a great experience to share a place where firefighters could get services from both our organizations.

The building has been our home and many good things have happened there for our Team and the people we serve.

So, please understand that we will be moving most likely within six months.  We are very appreciative for the support we have received from the City of North Charleston and hope we will be able to continue to be somewhere in the City.  As soon as we know our future, we will share it with all of you.

Regardless, our Team is strong, supported by an amazing group of people who give of their time to provide the best program possible.  We will continue that mission regardless of where we end up.  Our “Leap of Faith” mantra has been our mainstay since our beginning, and it will continue to sustain us.
