On July 14, 2021, Dominique Cooper will be speaking on the aftermath of the suicide of her sixteen-year-old son. Suicide does not just affect the family; it affects the entire community. Dom has taken her son’s story public to help break the stigma of suicide.
She remembers the reaction of the emergency services personnel that responded to her son’s suicide. She experienced the anguish of those first responders who were there and the many friends who offered support following the loss of her son. She realized the enormity of the tragedy for others and hopes her presentation will lead to a better understanding for all involved in this type of incident.
