Tonight, we are asking of prayers for Battalion Chief Bryan Kleskie, Retired, of the Charleston Fire Department. Bryan has suffered a major heart attack and is scheduled for quadruple by-pass surgery on Wednesday at Asheville’s Mission Hospital in North Carolina. Bryan and his wife, Kathy, moved to their log cabin in the mountains after his retirement a few years ago.
Bryan was a long-time member of the Charleston Fire Department and help guide the department through some of its most difficult days after the Charleston 9 tragedy. He served in many capacities of the CFD starting as a firefighter, before being promoted to Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, and then the Chief Safety Officer for the CFD. In his assignment as the Chief Safety Officer, he was selected as the National Fire Safety Officer of the Year for his dedicated work.
Please pray for Bryan and Kathy as we are hoping for a quick recovery. Get well soon, Brother, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
