Today was surely a sad day and a glad day! Michelle Brown, our wonderful friend, teammate, and one of the original creators of our Lowcountry 911 Telecommunicator Support Team followed her dream and moved to North Carolina to accept a position in the 911 Communications Center in Henderson County. This puts her back in her natural element and nearer her family, which simply makes us smile. She served in the 911 Centers in Florence County, Charleston County, and the South Carolina State Ports Police Department and is the best of the best. I was given the opportunity to offer a recommendation for her with the folks in Henderson County that included a lengthy interview of my own that lasted longer that some interviews I have had myself for jobs over the years. It was a good experience and allowed me to learn just what an organization she is joining.Another advantage for all of us, and for Michelle, is that we have a great relationship with the clinicians and some of the peer team members that live and work in Henderson County after forging a partnership with the First Responders Peer Support Network in North Carolina last year. So, you see, Michelle will be able to continue to bring her talent and love for this mission first responders there.
Congratulations, Michelle. We are so proud of you and love you dearly. Best of luck in your new position.
