We are excited to introduce a new clinician to our list of therapists who are available to provide services to our emergency services personnel and their families. Please join us in welcoming Kristin Johnson of the Waterfall Wellness Center, located 89 Old Trolley Road, Suite 203 in Summerville.
Kristin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She specializes in working with first responders and their spouses/partners. She was a police officer with the Charleston Police Department for six years prior to becoming a clinician. She has a first-hand understanding of how difficult it is for first responders to ask for help, specifically pertaining to mental health.
Kristin works with individuals, age 18 and older, who are experiencing depression, relationship difficulties, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and other trauma related disorders. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) but also utilizes various modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s specific needs.
