Some years ago, we came together as a group to form this Team and strike out on our own with little financial support.  The small group that made up the Team at the time (five of us) believed then and we believe now, that standing together we could take that “Leap of Faith”. Faith in each other, faith in those that support us, and faith in the Good Lord that we could move forward.  June will be thirteen years for us, the last eight of them as a non-profit organization.  Our Team has grown from serving just the Charleston Fire Department to now having five different regions taking care of twenty-three counties in the Lower State region of South Carolina, from five members and three clinicians to over sixty peer team members supported by twenty clinicians with three different teams, the Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team, the Lowcountry EMS Support Team, and the Lowcountry 911 Telecommunicator Support Team, all working together under the umbrella of our 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.

Our recent online fundraiser has produced great support from many of you.  We sincerely appreciate that support as we continue our journey to serve our emergency service personnel and their families.

Our “Leap of Faith” mantra has served us well as we wear it on our sleeve every day. We have all been through some tough times and the latest COVID-19 pandemic has tested our faith just as I am sure it has tested yours.  We adopted a song years ago as our theme to remind us that the “Leap of Faith” is tried and true.   Listen to it now and join us to “always trust your cape”.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6bZ37nexSY
