Please help us welcome our newest team member, David Townsend. He is an USAF veteran and a retired law enforcement officer. He was a member of the Santa Cruz Police Department, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s office, and retired from the Santa Clara Police Department in California. He has worked patrol, as a K-9 officer, a Field Training Officer, and was for a time, assigned to the San Jose, CA FBI as a Tech Task Force Federal Agent.
Dave attended the West Coast Post Trauma Retreat program in Northern California and is a trained peer counselor as a part of the First Responders Support Network in California. He has provided peer support to veterans and to first responders alike through FRSN.
Dave is a Founder of Equine Therapy, a non-profit business providing services for children and adults. He is also a member of the Dorchester/Summerville Fraternal Order of Police and lives in Summerville with his wife, Anita. They enjoy traveling and camping in their fifth wheel camper.
