On Wednesday of last week, we completed our Peer Support training program at Dorchester County EMS with a total of 21 people. We are excited as the following departments and/or organizations were a part of the program: Joint Base Charleston Fire Department, Dorchester County EMS, Dorchester County 911 Center, Berkeley County EMS, Berkeley County 911 Center, Salisbury, NC Fire Department and Ellis Cross Country, NC Fire Department. Instructors included LFST team members Lee Hopkins, Sherie Corbett, and Gerald Mishoe and Chaplain Rich Robinson of the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy. Thanks to all participants and congratulations to Dorchester County EMS and Team Leader Jennifer Brown on the launch of their new peer team.
