We recently learned that our first team therapy dog has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Nox, the amazing pup that started our therapy dog program, passed away recently after moving with his family to Hannibal, Missouri. Adam and Kelley Coley, his human parents, moved to Hannibal some time ago where they both started new jobs. Nox lost his eyesight after their move requiring his retirement. His illness led to his passing.
Nox was just a special pup who loved his firefighters and enjoyed hanging out with them. He was an amazing spirit animal who brought so much joy to all he met. He loved to visit the training grounds where he would sit patiently with Kelly awaiting his opportunity to get and give some loving. He was a star at our special events and was loved by all who came in contact with him.
Rest easy, Nox, and give some love to all our pups. If I find that Rainbow Bridge when we get there, we will have a grand old time with all of you.
