We are pleased to announce that David Pendarvis, III has joined our Lowcountry EMS Support Team to provide peer support to his counterparts in Orangeburg, Calhoun, Clarendon, and Sumter Counties. “Pendy,” as he is known by his friends and coworkers, was born, and raised in Orangeburg County where he began his career in a volunteer department at the age of 15. After he was trained, both as a medical first responder and a firefighter, he became a member of the Branchville Rescue Squad where his obtained his EMT Basic certificate. He later joined the Bamberg Rescue Squad and worked there until it closed. Over the years, he has worked for Orangeburg County EMS and Sumter County EMS. Currently he is a Paramedic Shift Manager for Orangeburg County EMS and volunteers with the Orangeburg County Fire Service. He is also a EMT Basic and an American Heart Association Instructor. He brings his love of emergency medicine and public service to our Team. We are honored to have him join us as a member our Team.
