Our First Responder Support Group meetings were started some years ago in partnership with the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy to provide a place where folks could gather to find and give support to all in the emergency services community. The meetings are held every second Thursday of the month at our office located at 6390 Dorchester Road in North Charleston beginning at 7:00 p.m. Over the years, we have developed a strong nucleus of people who attend and enjoy each other’s company.
Sometimes we have serious supportive discussions and other times we laugh and share happenings in our lives that improve everyone’s spirit. And, as always, we have good food and other refreshments to enjoy. The meetings are open to firefighters, EMS personnel, 911 telecommunicators, law enforcement officers, chaplains, and correction officers. Spouses and significant others are also invited to join us.
