Today, representatives of our Team traveled to the West Florence Fire Department in Florence County to take possession of a 1988 Emergency One pumper donated to us by the WCFD and the Florence County Fire Service. This truck will join our “Big John” and “Road Runner” trucks in our community outreach programs. The truck is an important addition to our Team as we take some of the workload off our older trucks. We will be working on the new truck starting this weekend with a lot of elbow grease, wax, and buffing to bring it into service.

This donation came about due to the generosity of Chief Howard Worrell of the WCFD, Florence County Fire Rescue Coordinator Sam Brockington, and the members of the Florence County Council.  Pictured below are C.J. Thompson of our Team, Lee Hopkins, our Pee Dee Region Team Coordinator, Chief Worrell of the WFFD, Gerald Mishoe, our Executive Director, Sam Brockington, of the Florence County Fire Service, and Todd Musselman of our Team as we accept the title.

We are grateful for the generosity of our Florence County friends and are excited about getting the truck in service. Stay tuned for updates as we progress.
