We are excited to share that today, we presented our Basic Peer Team Training to our friends at Berkeley County Emergency Medical Services. This training provided eight members of their organization with a dedicated group of people to get their internal peer team started. Our Lowcountry team will continue to support them as they grow while some of them will be volunteering their services as new members of the Lowcountry EMS Support Team. It is a win/win situation for us all as we work and grow together.

Special thanks to Kelly Bowick for her efforts in recruiting participants and organizing this training. Also, thanks to Chris Odell, Jen Shertz, Melissa Creter, Chris Birtwell, Lee Harper, Clayton Payton, and Paula Sutler for bringing life to this new team! Also, we appreciate Battalion Chief Les Bowick of the MPFD for joining us for the training as we have been hoping to rope him in for a while now.

We were proud to be a part of this training and development of this team and we thank our own team members Steve Gillespie, Gerald Mishoe, and clinician, Sherie Corbett, for their contributions as instructors today.
