We are excited to share that Battalion Chief Charlie Nash of Horry County Fire Rescue has been appointed as our Team’s Grand Strand Regional Coordinator. He will be taking over this position from our long-time coordinator Mike Medeiros. Mike has been our team coordinator since the inception of our Team, and he will remain a team member with us in the Grand Strand region.
Charlie began his career 33 years ago and served both as a volunteer and as a career member in EMS and the Fire Service. He served in the metropolitan area of New York City and was a Deputy Chief in the Pawling New York Fire District before moving to South Carolina. He has been employed with the Horry County Fire Rescue for 22 years where he now holds the position of Battalion Chief. He was the co-coordinator of the HCFR Peer Team for many years where he has been exposed to many critical incidents as they log over 10,000 calls a year.
Charlie and his wife Chase, live in the Allsbrook area of Horry County and we welcome them both to our family.
Our Team has a long and productive relationship with HCFR and its’ peer team as we both started our teams about the same time. We are certain that having Charlie representing us in the Grand Strand area will enhance both of our Teams.
