This is National 911 Public Safety Telecommunicators’ Week when we show special appreciation for all that our Telecommunicators provide in our communities. As in all aspects of emergency services, telecommunications have changed dramatically. There are many communities that still depend on that single office with one dispatcher on duty and there are others that have 30-35 telecommunicators in place on a shift to field the hundreds of calls received daily.
Our Lowcountry 911 Telecommunicator Support Team is proud to call all these folks our friends and to provide support for them and their families in their time of need. Rest assured that every day, every week, every month, we appreciate all that you do for us.
