My friends, the turmoil in our country is causing a lot of stress and anxiety for all of us. Our Team works constantly to provide emotional support and behavioral health care you all so much deserve, and it simply hurts our hearts to witness a lot of what is happening.

We wish we knew what to say to ease your hearts. We are concerned for all of you. Our firefighters, EMS personnel, 911 telecommunicators, and law enforcement officers are facing unprecedented chaos and unrest. We think about your families at home worrying about you too. Rest assured, we are here for you and all your families. Because of a wonderful network of organizations, we stand ready to be here for you. Whether it is our Lowcountry Team, the Support One Team, the South Carolina First Responder Assistance and Support Team, the SC Public Safety Chaplains Association, the SC Law Enforcement Assistance Program, the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy, and a multitude of other local organizations, we are better prepared than ever before to take care of you. Additionally, we are supported by a great team of clinicians who give of their time to provide support for us and for you. When the need arises, please reach out and let us help. As an old-timer, I can assure you that we have never been better prepared for the task ahead.

Many times, late at night, I look at my computer in hopes of finding something to share with you to continue to instill hope and peace for the future for you all. Tonight, that inspiration comes from my own sister, LuAnn who shared this link.

Please just take a few minutes to listen to it. I hope it brings you hope for the future. I love you Sis!

Gerald
