We are pleased to announce that Micheal Cardaronella has joined our Team as our Charleston County Coordinator for our Lowcountry 911 Telecommunicator Support Team. Micheal will be assuming this responsibility from Michelle Brown as she is now our 911 Support Team Coordinator in Henderson County, North Carolina working with our counterparts in the North Carolina First Responders Peer Support Network.
Michael began her emergency services career as a law enforcement officer in the Mount Pleasant Police Department in October 2004 before joining the North Charleston Police Department in July 2012. She rose through the ranks at the NCPD and served in many capacities and completed training to include the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) Certified Assisting Individuals in Crisis and Group Crisis Intervention, ICISF Advanced Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Advanced Group Crisis Interventions, and Certified Peer Support Specialist. Micheal is presently the Peer Support Team Coordinator for the Charleston County Consolidated 911 Center.
Micheal is presently working on her master’s in social work at Winthrop University with a projected graduation of December 2025. She has an extensive volunteer history that includes involvement in SCLEAP (South Carolina Law Enforcement Assistance Program) Peer Team Member, Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team/Telecommunicators Peer Team Member, First Responder Support Groups, Public Schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Special Olympic Fundraisers, Kids and Cops.
