Our Team is always working to improve our outreach to all our emergency services personnel and, to that end, we are pleased to announce that we are forming a new section in our Team specifically to assist 911 telecommunicators. We are blessed to already have many Team members who work in different 911 centers and we are presently recruiting others to join.

We are beginning a formal Lowcountry 911 Telecommunicator Support Team to provide those members the opportunity to help us develop resources and other assistance for their peers in the 911 centers around our region. The Telecommunicator Support Team will join our Firefighter and EMS Support Teams, already in place, and will improve our ability to provide the support our 911 personnel deserve. The new Team will be led by Michelle Brown, our Team’s 911 Dispatch Coordinator, as we develop this important resource.

We have always provided support and services to our 911 personnel, but we want to do better. This new Team is a gesture to continue to recognize the contributions that our 911 telecommunicators make daily and to provide resources that can improve their lives.

We will be holding meetings to recruit members for this new Team soon. We know we already have interest from many of you who would like to join the Team. Watch our FB page and website for more information on dates and times of the meetings. Please come and share your thoughts and join our Team. Please let us hear from you if you are interested in being a part of this Team.
