In 2010, this group was organized to give the Women Firefighters of the Lowcountry an opportunity to have a page where they could support one another, learn from one another, and share training and experience. In the beginning, there were approximately 15 members of the group and, while many of them have moved on, the number of women firefighters in Lowcountry departments has grown substantially.
We hope this page, and this group, will continue to grow to enhance the support of women firefighters all over our region. In the future, we will add announcements for training and other events and will post information, articles, videos to help that effort. This group is being sponsored by the Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team to assist the members in the growth of this group.
