Every year during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community from around the country, are honored. It’s called National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. This week-long event, is a time to celebrate and thank those in the 911 center who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It is a week that should be set aside so everyone can be made aware of their contributions to the safety and security of our community, their hard work and dedication.

It is only appropriate that we all honor our telecommunicators with the beginning of the new Team to provide support for them. Thanks to all of them that provide the crucial link to the others in our emergency services throughout our state.
