Special thanks to the Allendale Fire Department for hosting the quarterly meeting of the Lower State Firefighters Association on Monday night.  Fifty-nine members and guests assembled to enjoy a great meal and fellowship.   We were pleased to be able to share our Team’s progress, a report on our recent Emergency Services Behavioral Health Summit, and an update on the work of the Center for Firefighter Behavioral Health in Charleston.  Thanks to all in attendance for your continued support of our mission!

We were joined by Executive Director Kyle Minick of the SC State Firefighters Association who shared a report of the recent activities of the Association along with SC Fire Academy Region 5 Coordinator Director who updated all on the progress of the SCFA training programs.

Carter Jones, the Firefighters Association Historian, also gave us a report of the current status of his new book, ”A Legacy that Lives On”, that will be published very soon.  Carter has spent much time on the research and development of this book as we all anxiously await its’ release.
