Today, we began our station visits to introduce our new Team members, Kelly Colley and her therapy dog, Nox, to our firefighters and other first responders.

Nox is a 5-year-old Giant Schnauzer rescue.  He has earned his National Therapy Dog certification with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.  He is the “dog with the mustache”.  Nox enjoys meeting new people and he is excited for the chance to show that he brings smiles and joy to those around him.   He is a big dog, with a big heart, and can’t wait to meet everyone!

Nox and Kelly Colley, his owner and handler, work together as a therapy dog team to visit a variety of people and places to share the simple joy a K-9 can bring.  Kelly is married to Adam Colley of Charleston County EMS and they have two beautiful children.  Kelly works as a Fire/EMS Dispatcher for the Charleston County 911 Center so Nox is definitely a part of the first responder family.

If we can be of help to you and you would like a visit from Nox, call us at 843-609-8300 to arrange it.  And, look out for us as we travel around the community providing support to all our emergency services personnel and their families.
