We are fortunate on our Team to be able to make new friends and build relationships with those who share our love of this mission.

We become friends with those who we meet on Facebook or those who follow our website.  One of those friends is Lavone Anderson, a behavioral health clinician, who works with first responders in Del City, Oklahoma. We started corresponding with Lavone some time ago as she has continued to build her practice.  She also started a first responder support group and has continued to watch it grow.

Back in the Spring, we invited Lavone to attend our Emergency Services Behavioral Health Summit knowing that driving the 1,250 miles from Oklahoma would be a challenge (she doesn’t like to fly).  Well, Lavone and her son, Josh, got the prize for making the longest drive to come visit us in Charleston. While here, we showed them around Charleston and enjoyed their visit.  We gave them both one of our Team shirts with the stipulation that we would like to have a photo of them wearing them in Oklahoma. Today, Lavone fulfilled her part by sending us a photo.  Now we wait on Josh to show us his.

Thanks to them for visiting us as we look forward to their next visit!  And by the way Josh, thanks for coming with your Mom and providing navigation and company for her on the trip.
