This morning we learned of the passing of a dear friend. Mary Jane Burke of the Old Fort Fire Department, passed away yesterday. We became friends with her back in 2012 while restoring our “Big John” truck at Old Fort. She was just as excited about it as us as she would stop by to cheer us on and offer her support. We grew to love her enthusiasm and wonderful personality as we worked together to finish the project.
She was quite a artist and made us a bowl with a photo of “Big John” laminated in the bottom to commemorate the restoration. Thank you, Mary Jane, for believing in us and supporting our Team. We will miss you. Hope you run into our friend, John Winn, up there in heaven. Tell him we miss him too.
