Today our Lowcountry Team members joined members of the Charleston Fire Department Peer Team as we began station visits to launch our new combined effort to serve the members and families of the Charleston Fire Department.
To say we are excited in an understatement as the CFD is where we began in 2007 and it is simply good to be back! The members of the CFD have continued to support us as our Lowcountry Team has grown to now include the entire coastal region of our State. We are proud to formally rejoin them, under Chief Dan Curia, to provide the support they deserve. The station visits will include active team members from the CFD, retired CFD members who served on our original team, Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team members, and clinicians who will provide the clinical services for the CFD.
Special thanks to Chief Curia, Asst. Chief Joey Roberts, Battalion Chiefs Robby Baldwin, Kenny Jenkins, and Bill Perez for providing the leadership to make this happen.
We expect it will take us the entire month of September to visit CFD stations and distribute information on available resources to all members. Following those visits, we will provide additional training to our entire Team to get us all on the same page as we move into the future.
