While out traveling around his region today, our Pee Dee Coordinator, Lee Hopkins, made stops to visit the Williamsburg County and Marion County 911 Centers. As a continuing part of our “Operation Zzz program”, he delivered two of our weighted lap blankets to each of them.
These blankets will be used by their telecommunicators when handling difficult calls. The blankets have proven very useful in calming the anxiety of dealing with those stressful calls, whether by phone or by radio. Our thanks to all of our 911 telecommunicators for their dedication to duty and service.
Pictured here are Vivian Butkin of the Williamsburg 911 Center and Janet Davis of the Marion County 911 Center receiving their blankets with Lee. We are pleased to have provided these blankets to 22 of our state’s 911 centers with plans to provide them to all 46 counties.
