We are blessed to be a part of some special events as we go about our work and yesterday was no different. We were escorted with the “Road Runner”, our Autism Awareness truck by a dozen or so members of the Patriot Guard motorcycle organization to a birthday party for 36 y/o Jeffrey D., who is autistic and has a special love for fire trucks and motorcycles

We left Lowcountry Harley Davidson behind the Patriot Guard riders, continued down I-526 until we exited at North Rhett, and rolled into Park Circle where the party was in full swing. By the look on his face, it appeared he was surprised and excited and so were we. Thanks to his Mom for allowing us to be a part of his special day. Our brothers from the NCFD rolled in later to give him another surprise with their fire engine.

Special thanks to our friends of the Patriot Guard who give unselfishly to our community of military and first responders. It is a special day when we get to ride with you!
