Sometimes folks question the motives of our Team, asking why we have old fire trucks on a counseling team, why do we participate in birthday parties, weddings and other events, why we advertise, and why we are taking “a different direction” than other organizations in this mission of taking care of our own? We believe there is a simple answer. We believe in providing support during the good times in the lives of our first responders to help gain their trust so they will feel comfortable in reaching out to us during the bad times. We have always said, “we have no magic, no bag of tricks, and no smoke and mirrors”. We simply want to help others. In order to do that, “we live outside of the box” always watching and listening for better ways to serve those that mean so much to us.
