We are pleased to share our new association with Equine Intervention LLC of Hartsville, South Carolina  and Lowcountry Equine-Assisted Psychology (L.E.A.P.)   here in the Lowcountry on Wadmalaw Island. Both organizations bring a new dimension to behavioral health care for our emergency services personnel and their families by using horses in a therapeutic setting to ease the effects of anxiety, depression and PTSD.  The combination of these wonderful clinicians and their specially-trained horses will provide a different approach to helping our first responders who serve our communities.

Twelve members of our Team will visit Debi Lynn and her folks at Equine Intervention LLC in June for a day of orientation and work with the horses to enable us to come home and refer those we believe can be helped in the program. In early Fall, others on our Team with join Kathleen Broughan and her Team at L.E.A.P. here in Charleston County for the same orientation and experience.

Many thanks to Debi and Kathleen for providing this training and their programs to our Team and ultimately to our emergency responders.  We will continue to post news of our new relationship with them as time goes on.

We encourage all of you visit their websites for more information about their services. Call us at 843.609.8300 if we can assist you with a referral to see them.
