Today was another special day for our Team as eight of us traveled to the Lowcountry Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (L.E.A.P.) stables on Wadmalaw Island for a class with Kathleen Broughan and her folks.

The class exposed us to working with animals to learn team building skills and techniques to improve ourselves and our ability to help others. Equine therapy is used to help those that experience anxiety, depression, and PTSD and has proven to be a viable option for those that may not adapt to a more traditional counseling setting. We learned a lot about ourselves today and came away feeling better prepared to continue our mission.

Special thanks to Kathleen and her staff for making this a great learning experience!
