We are blessed in so many ways to be able to serve our firefighters and their families as a part of our Team. We are equally blessed to have some amazing people volunteering their time to advance our mission. Many of them are firefighters or paramedics who work full time in their own departments and give much of their “off duty” time to helping others. In addition to the ones who are peer counselors, we have many others who work to help us support our firefighters through our fundraisers and other public events. One of those unsung heroes is our Team’s college intern Savannah Wall. Savannah joined us in early 2013 working to fulfill the requirements of her internship for her bachelor’s degree in Human Services. After completing her first internship, she was able to start her second one just recently. She is an unbelievable young woman who works tirelessly regardless of the assignment. Whether it’s researching material for one of our training programs, attending meetings or classes with us, working a fundraiser, making hospital visits, playing a Christmas elf for the children in a parade or running the vacuum in the office, she tackles it all with spirit and enthusiasm. Without question, our Team and each of us are better for having her in our lives! .Thank you Savannah for all that you do!
