The Lowcountry Firefighter/EMS/911 Support Teams are partnering with ThinkBoxing of Charleston and the Sweat Box Gym West of the Ashley to offer an informational clinic to introduce Thinkboxing as a valid alternative to traditional behavioral health care and self care. Thinkboxing is a non-contact training curriculum that utilizes specific patterns of movement and cognition, traditionally found within boxing training, to foster better brain balance and regulation.
The program is designed to address brain responses that can lead to challenges within our mental health and to create a sense of self efficacy for those who participate.
Thinkboxing certified coaches are trauma-informed specialized teachers able to work with individuals and groups to release stress, regulate emotion, and gain an understanding of concrete strategies to feeling better outside of the gym; all while learning Olympic style boxing.
