Our Team is pleased to share that we will be presenting our Behavioral Health Awareness training to our Dorchester County EMS friends in November during their monthly in-service training.  This training is designed to open a dialogue with the participants to facing the stresses of not only the difficult calls to which they respond but to discuss the effects on their personal “at home” lives. This training will conclude with providing information on the many resources available to them in our community to address their behavioral health needs.

Lastly, our goal in to follow up with training to assist them in creating their own peer support team to take care of their own.  This initial training will help those who may want to join their peer team in making that decision.

Thanks to EMS Director Doug Warren, Capt. Josh Arrant, and Lt. Jay Dinges, for helping us get this training started.   Special thanks to Paramedic April Miller for her dedication and commitment to in making this happen.  We are looking forward to working with all of our DCEMS brothers and sisters.
